The deck is made up of a three-dimensional metal truss, with a reinforced concrete slab to form the pavement. The viaduct has a total length of 103m (meters), with the central span being 53m (meters). The length of the central span is determined by the need to cross Avenida Calouste Gulbenkian and the non-ardificandi area of protection for the Caneiro de Alcântara.
